Naturally, the Big Wipes team was exhibiting again, offering live product demonstrations and practical advice.  We also showcased exclusive, on-the-day deals for all those Big Wipes essentials.

Apart from Big Wipes, visitors also enjoyed plenty of other product demonstrations and giveaways.  They had access to special show offers and discounts, as well as the chance for visitors to speak to suppliers directly.  Over 150 suppliers showcased everything from power and hand tools, to plumbing, electrical, workwear, landscaping and decorating products.

Jewson Live – Made for the Trade

With over 2,700 tradespeople coming through the doors in 2019, Jewson Live is made for the trade.  There was a packed calendar of events – from competitions to product demos and deals, and a programme of top-notch speakers.

Among those taking to the stage to share their knowledge, insight and general life hacks was TalkSport’s Laura Woods, Darren Gough and Adrian Durham, as well as Dave Lee from Fundamental Life.  The one and only Chris Kamara, who was hosting Jewson Live for the third year in a row, fronted the whole event.

Things to see and do at Jewson Live

Jewson Live 2019 also tackled the age-old debate of who is the Master of All Trades. Visitors went head-to-head on a custom-built assault course in order to be crowned top trade.

A new addition to this year’s Jewson Live was the Get Ahead Hub.  This hub offered tradespeople advice on everything from dealing with cashflow, to building a website, building regulations and using social media.

Following the success of their pub quiz last year, On The Tools hosted another ‘Quids In Live’ quiz.  This offered entrants the much desired chance to win cash prizes.  Further, Andy Taylor of Electric House – the content producers behind On The Tools – gave  pointers on how to improve your business’ social media output.

As always, the event was completely free to attend.  Breakfast and lunch were served on-site and everyone went home with a packed Jewson goodie bag.

Speaking about the return of Jewson Live, Mike Newnham, Managing Director of Jewson, said: “As shown by the success of previous years, Jewson Live is the go-to event for all tradespeople. We’re into our fifth year hosting the event and it continues to get bigger and better. Some of the industry leaders in attendance are sharing a wealth of knowledge.  Not to mention the giveaways and prizes available on the day!  It’s too good to miss for those in the trade.”
